  1. I am pretty sure you had some damn good reasons for the axing of the relative… you do not strike me as someone who would do such a thing lightly. Stay strong, sister. We are required to forgive and forget, but that does not mean we put ourselves or our loved ones in harms way. Protect yourself.

  2. Oh, you. I’m so sorry. This kinda shit is really intensely painful and difficult.

I’m gonna give you some advice that a wise somewhat older friend gave me when my firstborn was 6 weeks old, and while I know the situation’s different, I think it’s quite sage advice that applies in many circumstances.

Q: What do you recommend for a baby with his first cold?

A: Crack open a bottle of tequila and start doing shots.

I’d like us all to take a moment just to think about that. Mm.

  3. A mantra I often employ, repeating to myself over and over and over, oh wait, that is a mantra? “You cannot have a rational conversation/interaction with an irrational person.” Sometimes you just have to move on, and crying is OK. And like Meg, I think choosing the content of ones re-hydrating program carefully is very important. Hugs to you.

  4. Sorry. Been there, and it’s a world of awful- much like a Choose-Your-Adventure without any good endings.

The best most of us can do is muddle through- accidentally laying waste to things we never wanted or intended to disrupt.

    Good luck.
